Default Friday = tombsday!!

Not sure where to post this; move if necessary...

Just recently started PvP-ing and I like it!

I want to tomb the whole frikking day tomorrow. But, obviously I cannot do it alone. So, I am looking for people who are planning to do the same.

I am rank 0 (hey, just started ) and
  • am on US servers,
  • can play with my PvE monk, mesmer and warrior,
  • can play almost all classes with my PvP char,
  • am willing to experiment (rebuild the PvP char as needed)
  • have TS (can have vent too, but have to dl that first).
Also, you can invite me for a guildbattle. I like those too.

I am in European time zones (central, which is GMT +1, I believe).

Leave me a message here or PM in-game! Bye

Oh you wont be loving it when you cant find a team.

If you really wanna start doing tombs I suggest you make an IWAY warrior, learn the maps etc. Get some experience of maps and tactics and all that.

I know peaople say IWAY is lame, I think for people new to tombs iway is perfectly acceptable. So dont worry about that stuff, go in and have some fun.

If you get bored of warrior, go make tainted or order or trapper. After you can master all these your ready to get into normal teams.

Good luck!! You may want to read the Tomb Fustration post here before you go....

Seriously, take tafy's sound advice. Its the best way to get yourself into a team and playing in the tombs. You may not see many of the later maps, but it will give you the vital experience you need to learn the art of tombs play (its a steep learning curve btw).

No No No! Looking for a group in these forums is a GREAT idea! As long as you're willing to learn and can follow instructions on voice comm, I can garuntee some people will bring you along! Post your in game name, the proffessions you have mostly unlocked and ask people to whisp you. I'll bring you along too if I see you on. Please run far away from IWAY, and to my fellows on the forums, why don't we try to help PROVE that you don't need to IWAY to r3 or r6 to get a group?

You don't need to build an IWAY warrior to get into a group or to reach rank 3, however, as the majority (by a long way) of teams in tombs these days are IWAY, you will find yourself standing around looking for a group if you are r0 and aren't looking for an IWAY team.... which is a shame.

Try to avoid IWAY if you can. I'm sure there are players like yourself that will want to try different builds in order to learn the ropes.

My advice would be to make friends with folk who are in the same position as you, and who play regularly, and gradually build up your friends list of PvPers who you can always group with. If you don't mind leaving your current guild then perhaps look for a guild with a lot of PvP players who play tombs regularly. You can then learn from the higher ranked players in your guild. Good luck.

wow out of all these posts no one wants to actually do tombs with him. Thats what he asked for btw, to have like minded ppl to do tombs with.

Well i wont have a ton of time tommarrow, but i would be willibg to do tombs some. Just invite me to your freiends list. I can play prot or healer monk, most kinds of ele, ranger, most warrior, some necro, and some mesmer. I dont have a ton of faction atm so i might not be able to play necro, warrior, and mesmer unless i already have the skills. I also have vent and ts. Will be playing from around 4:00 to 7:00 pm pacific standard time.

YES! That is exactly what I am looking for! It is 2.53 p.m. here, so I ll take some five. But, within a few hours I ll be back again.

In game: see left.

Professions: all. But I feel most comfortable (in PvE context; some PvP CA) with monk, mesmer and ele. I can also play ranger, warrior and necro though, cuz I unlocked almost all skills.

Have TS and am willing to listen and learn.

I ll be on tomorrow (CET) all day. Looking forward to being playing with you!

P.S. go download Ventrilo.

http://ventrilo.com/

Far superior to T.S in my opinion and groups in the Tombs will be split 60/40 Vent/TS.

It is just easier to have both on hand.

And save the server information as new connections so if you find that you start grouping with the same people you can just click and go, and avoid the setting up of the server info.

Edit: and ohh yea, go to the sB community vent server
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...community+vent

That is a pretty good place to meet up with people. Just move to the looking for PvP group channel and see what comes.

And I think I know what I am talking about when I say that the Sissy Boys host this, so thanks to you, or whoever is hosting that for us.

i agree that vent is much better, but the split is more like 99/1. i havent been in a TS group in about 4 months. everyone has realized that vent is much better and youre better off sticking to vent if you are only going to pick one.

Well, thank you all for your replies and attention. Unfortunately I could not get a hold on Signet. I whispered him in-game, but no reply. Guess the time-zones are not helping at all.

Luckily I joined a PvP guild yesterday, so I hope that turns out to be the solution.

Hope to be able to help some other people someday as well!

OK, so out of interest, how did you go that day.
How many hours were you on?
How many groups did you PUG with?
Did you IWAY at all? (Ah, you probably wouldn't admit it anyway)
